Hi. My name is Ben Smith. I am known as EWV105. I am a moderator and radar technician for Extreme Weather Videos. My love and passion for severe weather & storm chasing began from an early age.
It was on June 9th 1995 when a brief tornado touched down less than 250 yards away from my house and seeing the movie Twister, that really gave me the bug for loving severe weather and storm chasing. Although I currently live in the UK and chase locally, my ultimate goal is to chase storms in America. I chose to join Extreme Weather Videos as I felt the were and still are the perfect people to learn from and work with to better my radar skills and better myself as a person.
As Spring and Summer arrive & the severe weather erupts, I am totally driven to do whatever I can to keep people in the path of destruction alert, aware and safe, because when it comes to severe weather, saving lives matters.
